The Challenge
Transparency International Greece needed to modernize a website that had been based on a theme never fully developed for the Greek chapter’s needs. The result was a fragile digital presence with issues around reliability, performance, security, and day-to-day publishing. For an NGO dealing with public trust, institutional information, research, news, and civic engagement, the website needed to feel more stable, structured, and credible.
The Role
I worked directly with the client from brief and quotation through design, content gathering, mockups, and development. I designed the new website structure and visual direction, then developed a custom WordPress theme tailored to the organization’s publishing needs. The work covered both the public-facing experience and the practical requirements of maintaining a content-heavy NGO website over time.
The Outcome
The project replaced a problematic inherited setup with a more deliberate and maintainable website foundation. The new design gave Transparency International Greece a clearer way to present its identity, programs, research, news, and support actions within one consistent system. It also created a more reliable WordPress environment for an organization that needed its digital presence to support public communication, not slow it down.
The work was less about decoration and more about rebuilding trust at the infrastructure level: a clearer interface, a stronger publishing system, and a website the organization could actually depend on.
